My first thought when I heard the idea that the Miami Heat might have trouble filling out their roster, was that there is no way it's true. Players will line up to play alongside this trio. So far it appears that I'm right. Both Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem have both signed under market contracts to play with this team. There are also rumors that Zydrunas Ilgauskas is willing to sign a less than market value contract to play with them.
So far Derek Fisher has been the only player who has reportedly turned down a chance to play on this team, and he did so to stay with the two time defending champion Los Angles Lakers, so who can blame him? Other players that have been rumored to be on the list of targets for the heat are Juwan Howard, James Jones, Carlos Arroyo and Joel Anthony. Each and every one of those guys would be a good signing for the Heat and would represent a better player than analysts originally thought would sign there.
As of right now they have a starting lineup of:
C - Udonis Haslem
PF - Chris Bosh
SF - LeBron James
SG - Dewayne Wade
PG - Mario Chalmers
Their best starting lineup would probably move Lebron or Wade to the point and insert Mike Miller into the starting lineup. It is just unclear at this point as to whether or not they will have Wade or James literally be the point. Whatever their decision is, it's clear this team will be favored to come out of the east and compete for a title in their first year.
